Welcome to Phuket, one of Thailand’s most popular tourist islands!
The charm of Phuket lies not only in its beaches but also in its hills and neighbouring islands.
Day trips from Phuket to its surrounding islands are very popular. The islands themselves are quite famous – Phi Phi Islands, James Bond Island, and Koh Panyee!
The hills on the island provide beautiful vantage points from where one can admire the sea surrounding the island.
But what better way to explore this beautiful Thai island than through aerial photos? Below are some of the beautiful places that we stayed in Phuket and were fortunate enough to admire from above.

We had the fortune of staying in two charming neighbourhoods with beautiful beaches within walking distance.
The first half of our trip was spent in Kata. Located just south of Karon Beach, Kata Beach is equally beautiful and slightly less crowded.
The beautiful beach and pristine waters welcomed us to Phuket as we admired the gorgeous sunsets and budding surfers on Kata Beach.
Kata is also close to Mt Nakkerd, making it possible to hike to the Big Buddha in Phuket.
Next to Kata Beach, is its smaller sibling – Kata Noi. This beach was even quieter and more serene than its neighbour and is only a short walk away.
Kata Noi is surrounded by beautiful hills and high-end luxury properties.
After Kata, we moved to one of the southernmost neighbourhoods of Phuket, Nai Harn.
Nai Harn is heaven in Phuket. A stunning beach with beautiful blue waters. Next to the beach is a beautiful lake and temple. And the town contains some of the best restaurants we dined at while in Phuket!
Ko Panyi, also known as Koh Panyee, is a fishing village in Phang Nga Province, Thailand, known as the village built on stilts by Malay fishermen.
The settlement was established at the end of the 18th century. Today, the village receives hundreds of tourists a day, who come to admire its beautiful school, floating football field and mosque. The floating football field was inspired by the 1986 FIFA World Cup. The children built the pitch from old scraps of wood and fishing rafts!
The mosque based on the island serves the predominantly Muslim population and is a focal point and meeting place for the community.
What is a beautiful beachy holiday without gorgeous sunsets?
Although it was cloudy on most days, here are some of the best aerial sunset pictures I shot in Phuket.
During our trip to Phuket, we had a chance to admire some of the most exclusive luxury resorts. We even got a chance to stay at The Nai Harn, which is voted among one of the best hotels in Thailand consecutively.

During our trip to Phang Nga Bay, we stopped at Ko Yao Yai’s Coco Beach.
Ko Yao Yai is a small island east of Phuket. A quiet island, with a few sprawling resorts and secluded beaches.
However, Coco Beach was a fairly touristy beach where all the day trips to Phang Nga Bay would end their day before returning to Phuket.
From all the locations I shot aerial photos, here are some of my aerial panoramas.
Enjoy these aerial panoramic views from Phuket!
