You think of Hong Kong and you think of tall buildings and shopping. But as I’ve already shown you on this website, there’s a lot more to Hong Kong than that.
Zen Amidst Skyscrapers
This time in Hong Kong, Neha and I visited the Chi Lin Nunnery, a Buddhist temple nestled on Diamond Hill in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Right next to the nunnery is the Nan Lian Garden – a small, but beautifully manicured garden. If you’re looking for things to do in Hong Kong, and want to stray away from the more touristy spots, I’d highly recommend a visit to Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden.
About The Nunnery & Garden
The Chi Lin Nunnery built in Tang dynasty style, with gardens & lotus ponds. Entry to the nunnery and garden is free. And there’s also a vegetarian restaurant on the premises in case you get hungry.
We just love discovering these little spots to find a bit of peace from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong.
